Could it be possible for Swivek to rock any harder than last year's edgy Army Fatigue album? You bet your sweet bippy. Bradley is back with a  teaser for September's brand new Darkness + Light LP. "You're Not The One" is the first single and is a classic put down song that squashes you under it's shoe like the dirty roach you are. It's backed with the more electronic flavored "Fluid Pill Mix" of "Pissed" which was co-written and produced by Orange Television. Released on pissy yellow vinyl so Limited Edition that it  doesn't even exist. Gotta go, gotta go, gotta go right now.

Bradley is once again buzzing with ideas and laying down tracks for a new Swivek album titled Darkness + Light, which he says has a bit of a "grunge feel" so far. We've heard it and it rocks, quite. He will be collaborating in various ways on several tracks with Orange Television's Patrick English. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for the latest twisted megadose of Swivek's unique bubblegum punk in early September.

Also currently available for free download is the new single "You're Not The One", which drips with attitude and is backed with an exclusive Orange Television remix of "Pissed."

Swivek returns in perfectly pissy fashion with the full length release ARMY FATIGUE (flex26). Gone is the bubblegum fun of last year's Happiness Is Hard, replaced by entertainingly angry rants against the government, close minded bigots, and others that certainly deserve a tongue lashing every now and then. Bradley delivers, setting them straight in his trademark no nonsense fashion. The music edges further into a seething world of electro punk, with moments of calm and clarity like the lucid "Everything's Fine" and the shimmering dance pop of "Come Alive". Army Fatigue also includes the hit pride album "Get Up On It."

Since the day happens to be our favorite holiday as well, Swivek contributed a brand new original tune for the compilation entitled "Crypt Keeper."

New Swivek single - "Where The Boys Are" (flex7)

Lisa Hartman must have her panties in a wad over this pop-tronic cover of her kitsch classic cut. It's the second single from Swivek's latest Happiness Is Hard CD (flex4). In addition to an all-new single mix of "Where The Boys Are" you get the album mix plus two totally bananas remixes by Blonde Buddha and Orange Television. Also includes the previously unreleased track "The One To Fall."

Swivek just recorded the music for the Fai Light tune titled "People Need Swivek." Fai Light is a 25 year old boy from Hong Kong whose been cranking out the tunes since 1999. He contacted Brad about doing a collaboration and thus became the electro stomp of "People Need Swivek." You can download the song and Fai Light's EP now available on Flexible Records:

Since the dark ages of the late 90s Swivek has released a string of oddly compelling singles. Nearly all have been given a run or two through the massive Orange Television remix machine. Violating Overween Skies reverse chronologically collects 11 of these manipulations and as an album highlights the musical transformation of both artists through this six year period. Includes the funk punk of "Who We Are (Extended Romanian Baby Disco Mix)", the Electro-clash era sound of "Cherry Go Go (Acid Cherry Mix)" and the slowly unfolding bass vibrations of the "Hartman-Black Dub Experiment" version of Swivek's latest hot single "Where The Boys Are". It's the manically driven first single from Swivek's latest album Happiness Is Hard, and it tells the tragic tale of our hero ever-so-briefly meeting his very idol of idols - Ms. Deborah Harry, and the inevitable anxiety attack that follows such a brush with frame. It's hilarious and depressing at the same time! The single includes the "Head Bribery" remix by Orange Television and three wild remixes by Tiki Lab.
